How to work with us
People reach out to a network like this for a few different reasons. Here is a straight answer for each.
You want to advertise
The Advertise page has the full media kit: combined reach across the network, per-site audience and topic, standard ad slot names and sizes used consistently on every site, and a direct-sales contact form. Ad inventory uses the same reserved-height slots everywhere in the network, so nothing shifts as ads load, and every slot is visible as a labeled placeholder even before ads are turned on.
You run a related site
Two options: cross-link, where we add each other to our respective "related sites" sections with no money changing hands, or sell, if you are looking to hand a site off entirely. Either way, start on Partners with a short description of the site and its traffic.
You have a dataset
If you maintain a public dataset that deserves a proper interface, daily updates, and an audience, we may build a site around it or add it to an existing one, depending on scope. The bar is the same as everything else in this network: the data has to be genuinely public, the source has to be attributable, and the licence has to allow what we want to do with it.
You want to write
Guest posts run on this blog under your byline, on topics related to public data, data journalism, or the specific domains the network covers. Pitch a topic on Partners; if it fits we will get you access to drop a Markdown file straight into the blog folder.
What we will not do
No paid placements disguised as editorial. No datasets sourced from paywalled scraping. No advertiser given editorial control over a data page. If an offer would break one of the Mission principles, the answer is no regardless of the numbers.
